Social Media Exhuastion

Interesting that in today's world we have so many different forms of media to keep us busy through our our days, and nights. If anyone out there is like myself it's become a bit difficult for me to keep up to date with all the different way I need to keep up with my family, friends, and acquaintances. In fact the constant updates from FaceBook, and MySpace alone is enough to drive me crazy. What happened to the days of sending someone a letter when you had news to tell them, or the days when we would pick up a phone and call someone and have a real conversation. Not a Verdana Font, all in UPPERCASE acronym laden SMH conversation. While our communication has gone downhill in recent years I for one support taken these vices and placing them to the side once in a while. Most of the time you don't need to be updated by every little mood swing, eat meal session, bad day at work,  Good Bible Verse of the day update. Most of those things can wait until your ready to read them. How about we all just take one day a week where we turn off most access to those types of communications. Where we sit down, and actually write someone a letter that we have to place in the mail, or a day when we call everyone that's important to us just to say hello. How hard would that be?

Who wants to try?
