SurveySpot

So I left off talking about SurveySpot. A  site that I joined back in 2009. When I first joined the site I thought it was corny, cheesy, lame, whatever adage you would like to use for it that's what I thought it was for a certain amount of time. Let's just say that after I got my first really big survey I was like a kid in a candy store.

You couldn't stop me. I just knew in the back of my head that I would be approved for every survey I received from that point on. And when I tell you that I tried my best to qualify for every thing that came into my inbox that's exactly what I tried to do. Just when I thought that I couldn't get any better surveys it seemed as though they always sent me something better. If it wasn't a product sample survey, then it would be an online focus group which usually started at about $20 for 75 minutes of my time.

I must say that I became rather spoiled during my time with SurveySpot. At one point and time I was able to make one meal a week at home made from nothing but the test products I was receiving. It came in handy during this time of cut back hours at work. There were times when I started to turn down surveys. I had got to the point where any survey over 20 mins not worth at least $5 or more was a waste of my time.

Towards the end of my run with SurveySpot I realized that I was getting more and more surveys that would complete, only to get to the end of the survey and be told that the survey was sent to me by mistake, or that the survey had been completed to quickly, or that there was an error with the survey. Those I could all deal with. What I couldn't deal with was the payment system which seemed to decided when it wanted to work. Don't get me wrong I always got everything in my account cashed out. I learned much later to cash out every time I got to $10 but in the beginning I kept everything in the account. At the present moment I'm doing no surveys with survey Spot outside of surveys with no cash incentive. The last time I checked I had made $590 in the calendar year, and I don't want to have to claim the money on my taxes once I reach $600. So for now I take a break, but trust me I'll be back very Soon.

After the Break I'll discuss SurveySavvy
